Just 3 little words

This song, "God is love, God is love, the Bible says so," is simple but carries an important message that resonates not only with children.

God is the living definition of the word love. Salvation came to us through His unconditional love. Even when we were still sinners, Christ loved us. He knew us when we were in our mother's womb.

God's love has a multiplying effect. When we feed on God's Word, we overflow and love everyone. The more we love God, the more we love our neighbors:

"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love." (1 John 4:7-8)

So, just like children, keep these 3 little words in your heart: God is love!

Perfect yourself in God's love.

• Seek God's presence through His Word. The more we seek God, the more His love surrounds us.

• Loving is a constant exercise. Practice compassion and self-control daily.

• Be an imitator of Christ. He is the best example of how we can perfect ourselves in love.

Lord, I want to learn to love. Thank You for Your love and for making me feel loved by You. Use me as an instrument in Your hands. In Jesus' name, Amen.
