Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. (Ephesians 6:10)

In our daily lives, we see people heading to the gym to work out physically. They wear their sportswear and look good, but many of these seemingly strong people are spiritually weak and psychologically fragile.

Just as the body needs regular exercise, our spirit needs to be nourished and our faith exercised. If we don't work out, we atrophy, just like faith when it is not stimulated. That’s why we must strengthen our faith every day.

So, how can we strengthen the muscles of our faith? Just as an athlete must lift weights and push their limits to improve in their sport, God works with us by allowing challenges in our lives that require endurance, effort, and faith. The main supplement for our faith is hearing and reading God's Word.

In the Bible, we are strengthened in the Lord to endure what comes our way for our growth in Christ. Jesus is our coach, and He doesn't give us more weight than we can bear. That’s why we must strengthen ourselves, stay focused, and have faith. Remember, He endured everything and overcame the world. There is no one stronger than our God.

Exercise!

Create the healthy habit of reading the Bible. It is the fuel that will hydrate you when you are thirsty from the weight you carry.

Exercise with others; it’s always better. Seek communion and actively participate in your church. When we share our faith, we grow stronger.

Don’t forget to sweat in prayer. Talk to God. Don’t spare any effort in seeking the Lord. He responds and loves those who seek Him in spirit and truth.

For Prayer:

Lord Jesus, teach me to grow in Your ways. In Your name is all strength and power. Pour out Your Spirit in my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
